Our goals

For human beings, examining and interacting with culture is more than just a way to pass the time. Culture educates us, fulfils us, broadens our horizons, connects us and has a positive impact on our personal development, especially when it comes to children and young people.
That being said, not every child in Switzerland is born with the same opportunities, and as a result not every child is exposed to culture equally. We consider it our civic duty to provide as many people as possible, regardless of education, income or place of origin, with access to the transformative power of the arts.

The Max Kohler Foundation pursues this goal through four programmes.
